THE MCG WILL be a sea of red and blue on December the 5^th, with registrations for Melbourne’s premiership celebration exceeding expectations to date.

Since being made public just two days ago, over 31,000 people have already signed up for a ticket to attend the event, and those in the stands will be making some history as well.

Not only will fans have the chance to witness Melbourne’s premiership players on their home turf for the first time since the 57-year premiership drought came to a close, but they could be a part of the MCG’s biggest crowd in six months (since Carlton hosted Hawthorn on the 22^nd of May).

The celebration of the Dees’ 13^th flag, which is presented by Zurich, will allow members and supporters to re-live the Grand Final in-person and get a photo with the official cup prior to proceedings.

While the event is expected to reach its capacity, the club will be working closely with the government to ensure everything occurs in a COVID-safe environment.
