A one-year contract extension sees Nathan Jones locked in for a 16th season in the red and blue.
The former skipper has been the heart and soul of the club for over a decade, and will be eyeing off game No.300 in 2021.
If Jones can reach the milestone, he will be just the second man to do so for Melbourne, with David Neitz holding the club’s record with 306 matches.
While Jones managed just eight games in an interrupted 2020 season, he has maintained his fitness and can still compete at the top level.
Jones also holds value off the field, helping out the young players on the list at training and assisting with the coaches on match day when out of the starting 22.
