MELBOURNE premiership player Colin Wilson has passed away.
He was 84 years old.
Wilson made his debut for Melbourne in round 18, 1954 against South Melbourne at Lake Oval.
He played 63 games for Melbourne from 1954-59, including Melbourne’s 1957 premiership.
Wilson also played in the club’s Grand Final loss against Collingwood in 1958.
Originally from Ormond, Wilson played in Melbourne’s reserves premiership in 1956.
After finishing with Melbourne in 1959, Wilson played for Horsham and coached the club to a flag in his first year in 1960.
Wilson later coached Melbourne’s reserves in 1978.
